Ask for a shoot
The more exact the count, the faster the figure. “Some bikes” gets a reply asking how many.
What to prepare, and what goes wrong when you don’t
Most delays on a bike photo shoot come from one of these. The most common by far is a mud-caked bike arriving for a listing set.
- The count. Exactly how many bikes or items. A catalogue run is priced per SKU, $65 each from ten, $90 below ten, so eleven and nine are different jobs.
- Frame sizes. Anything from a 44 cm kids’ frame to an XL mountain bike fits the 2.7 m sweep. Cargo bikes and tandems do not; tell us and we plan an outdoor frame instead.
- Clean or not. We wipe off dust. We do not degrease a drivetrain or wash a muddy frame, and mud hides the wear a buyer wants to see. Wash it two days before so it is dry.
- Tyres pumped, chain on the big ring. A flat tyre reads as a problem on camera. The drive-side frame is shot in the big ring and a mid cog, so leave it there if you can.
- Serial number accessible. One of the nine frames is the serial, usually under the bottom bracket. If there is a sticker or a cable guide over it, say so.
- For fleets, a clean pavement. Up to 15 bikes in a half day at your yard. The flat, swept piece of ground to stand them on is your job, and so is moving parked cars off it.
- Where the files go. A marketplace, your own store, a printed rental sheet. We deliver 3000 px JPEGs plus a 1600 px set either way, but a store with a fixed card ratio should tell us the crop.

We read it and reply
On working days, by the phone number or email you gave. If something is missing, like the count or the location, the reply is a question, not a figure.

A figure in writing
Based on the count, the service and the travel. We collect inside 25 miles. Beyond that we add $0.70 per mile and show the miles on the figure. Nothing is payable through this website.

The shoot
At the studio, at your yard, or on location. Each bike is checked in with a condition note before it goes on the sweep, so there is a record of the scratches it arrived with.

Files in two working days
3000 px JPEGs and a 1600 px set, sorted by bike. If a frame is soft or an angle is missing, we reshoot it free within 14 days under the reshoot guarantee.
Before you write
Not bikes or sports gear. We will point you elsewhere. Weddings, headshots, houses, furniture: the studio is set up for bikes and the kit that goes with them, and the answer is no.
Wet weather. Location sessions do not go ahead in rain. Wet paint throws reflections that look like damage, and a wet trail puts mud where the buyer is looking. We move the date and it costs you nothing.
Riders. We do not supply models. If you want a rider in frame on an on-location session, bring one.
